What You Will Be Doing
- Define and drive analog IC architecture: Lead the definition and development of analog IC architectures for optical transceiver Drivers and TIAs. Design of high-speed SERDES (100 Gbps to 200 Gbps) to drive optical modulators for TX and TIAs for RX including the control circuitry ADCs and DACs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather system-level requirements and translate them into detailed circuit specifications.
- Drive Driver and TIA circuit design: Work with various design houses and vendors to identify the most optimum foundry platform and design solution. Focus on optimizing key metrics such as bandwidth, linearity, power consumption, and noise performance.
- Collaborate with system and optical engineers: Work closely with system/digital engineers and optical designers to understand the system-level requirements and translate them into analog IC specifications. Perform IC-PIC Co-simulations to verify the IC performance meets system targets. Collaborate on trade-offs and design challenges to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Conduct feasibility studies and performance analysis: Perform feasibility studies and conduct thorough performance analysis to assess the viability of proposed analog IC architectures and PIC co-simulation results. Utilize simulation tools and methodologies to analyze circuit performance and make design decisions.
- Drive overall IC product development: Lead the development of detailed specifications for analog IC designs, including performance targets, functional requirements, and interfaces. Ensure alignment with overall system requirements and customer expectations in terms of performance, cost, and schedule
- Collaborate on test and characterization: Work closely with the IC test and characterization vendors to define and execute test plans for analog IC designs including monte carlo simulations. Analyze test data and provide feedback for design optimization. Drive post-silicon validation plan including binning and yield analysis.
