We are a leading manufacturer of process gas compressors and we are continuing to grow. We are looking to add a dedicated controls field service engineer to our team. In this role you will be helping with pre-commissioning or the commissioning of compressor systems. Must be open to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
-Responsible for programming and configuration of PLCs, HMIs and Vibration monitoring systems along with the set up and configuration of various types of transmitters to work with the PLC on the control system.
-Support Electrical Engineers by providing positive feedback for the improvement of the company's standard documents such as the sequence of controls, wiring diagrams, Factory Acceptance Tests (F.A.T) documents, etc.
-Ability to work independently in various locations domestic and international ensuring that the company is represented well by displaying the highest professionalism possible in order to keep the customers satisfied.
-Responsible for successfully conducting internal and witnessed F.A.Ts, S.A.Ts and providing positive feedback to the current documents being used in Electrical Engineering.
-Conduct pre-commissioning/ commissioning and troubleshoot the systems in the field.
-Create and submit daily service reports, customer timesheet, invoicing for billing, travel itineraries, PLC trending, updated PLC and HMI programs and adheres to the company rules and policies.
-Develop and follow troubleshooting skills to resolve problems and improve the operation of the compressor system.
-Perform wiring and PLC/HMI program modification to ensure the proper operation of the compressor system.
-Develop Standards, Procedures, and Forms as needed to improve its processes and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or the manager as needed.
Qualifications:
-B.S. Electrical Engineering
-Must have proven experience in PLC, HMI logic and programming within different software packages (Rockwell, Siemens, GE, Omron)
-Some experience in computer-assisted engineering, design and office software (i.e. AutoCAD, EPlan, Excel, etc.).
-Moderate to Expert level experience in programming, testing and simulating control systems (i.e. transmitters, control valves, PLC's and control panels).
