- A proven commitment to a safe and efficient operation
- The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- The ability to adapt well to changes and be able to work in a wide variety of settings throughout all levels of the organization
- The ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and endure prolonged standing and walking, up to 12 hours
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- A belief in good maintenance practices
- His/her own hand tools
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Maintenance experience
- Computer knowledge
- Welding / Cutting / Fabrication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment
- Skills to safely operate forklifts and front-end loaders
- Knowledge of sugar factory processes and equipment
- Equipment lubrication process knowledge / experience
- The ability to read and understand basic blueprints and mechanical drawings
