We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to join our growing team and lead the production and operational aspects of our state-of-the-art food manufacturing facility. As the Plant Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of our production processes, maintaining the highest quality standards, and driving operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience in plant operations within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of successfully leading production teams and achieving operational targets.
- Strong understanding of quality control and food safety regulations.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles and process optimization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in using manufacturing and inventory management software.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced startup environment and drive innovation.
- Develop and execute production plans to achieve volume, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Monitor daily operations, addressing deviations from schedules and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Champion a culture of quality by implementing rigorous quality control measures and collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance team.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Recruit, train, and lead a skilled workforce, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all employees.
- Continuously identify process improvement opportunities and implement Lean principles to optimize efficiency.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all equipment and machinery are well-maintained and operational.
- Manage the budget for plant operations, focusing on cost control and resource optimization.
- Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on production performance and strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence.
