Position Overview:
The Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and preparing tax returns for clients, ensuring compliance with all tax laws and regulations. They will work closely with clients to provide tax planning and consulting services, and will also assist with other tax-related tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and a thorough understanding of tax codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and file tax returns for clients, including individual, corporate, and partnership returns- Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide tax planning and consulting services- Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and make recommendations to clients as needed- Collaborate with other accounting team members to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tax preparation- Strong understanding of tax codes and regulations- CPA certification is preferred- Experience in public accounting and/or working with high net worth clients is a plus- Knowledge of foreign and international tax laws is a plus- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Strong attention to detail and accuracy- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
