Job Title: Associate - Bankruptcy

Location: Miami, FL

Salary: $80-150k (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Bankruptcy Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing comprehensive legal solutions to our clients experiencing financial difficulties, with a strong focus on bankruptcy law and creditor's rights. This role is pivotal in navigating complex legal matters and ensuring the best outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions and related documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on bankruptcy and creditor's rights issues
  • Draft legal motions and documents for Chapter 11 proceedings
  • Participate in mediations and negotiations on behalf of clients
  • Prepare for and attend depositions and court hearings
  • Provide support in commercial and bankruptcy litigation matters
  • Advise clients on fiduciary duties and the benefits of creditors in bankruptcy cases
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for avoidance actions

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar admission in Florida
  • Experience in bankruptcy law, particularly Chapter 11
  • Strong understanding of creditor's rights
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and legal professionals
  • Experience in mediation and litigation is a plus
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously
