Controls Engineer

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement control systems for our automation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with various control systems and software. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop control systems using HMI, PLC, and SCADA technologies.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers to integrate electrical systems with mechanical components.
Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshooting for control system issues.
Create and review electrical schematics and control system designs.
Implement and maintain monitoring systems for automation processes.
Conduct equipment placement and wiring layouts for various projects.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
Utilize software tools like AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks, and Inventor for design work.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in automation and robotics.
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff control systems.
Experience with HMI software such as Factory Talk, RS View, and WinCC.
Proficient in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD Electrical and SolidWorks.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems design and device placement.
Experience with industrial robots from brands like Fanuc and Motoman.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
