We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Director of Preconstruction to lead all preconstruction efforts for both ground-up and remodeling healthcare construction projects across Tennessee. This leadership role is essential in shaping the early phases of complex healthcare builds, ensuring accurate budgeting, efficient planning, and strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for healthcare construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the preconstruction team, including estimators, coordinators, and support staff.
Oversee the development of detailed cost estimates, budgets, and value engineering for both new construction and renovation projects.
Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to align project goals and expectations.
Develop and maintain preconstruction schedules and ensure alignment with overall project timelines.
Provide strategic input during planning and design phases to optimize constructability and cost-efficiency.
Ensure consistency and accuracy in all preconstruction deliverables.
Support business development efforts through proposal preparation and client presentations.
Stay informed on market trends, construction methods, and cost data relevant to healthcare construction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a preconstruction leadership role.
Proven experience with both ground-up and remodeling healthcare projects.
Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
Deep understanding of healthcare construction codes, regulations, and best practices.
