Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Location: Greer, SC (Looking for candidates in the Greenville - Spartanburg - Anderson area)

Salary Range: $25-35/hr (1.5x after 40 hours with 50 hours being typical. Plenty of OT potential and potential for higher pay rate based on background. Potential for higher pay based on background and experience)

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This role requires technical expertise in diagnosing issues and performing preventative maintenance on machinery such as excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and tractors.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, and tractors.
Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs or replacements.
Conduct electrical maintenance and repairs on heavy machinery.
Maintain hydraulic systems and troubleshoot any related issues.
Document all repairs and maintenance work performed on equipment.
Adhere to safety regulations and ensure that all equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of CAT, Komatsu, and John Deere equipment.
Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is preferred.
Proficiency in equipment repair and troubleshooting.
Experience with electrical and hydraulic maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
