As the Laser Development Scientist, you will be responsible for a wide range of responsibilities related to our existing and future product lines developed and manufactured by the United States production team. Our Laser Development Scientist will be working as a member of our Photonics Americas design team.

What You Will Be Doing

As Laser Development Scientist, the responsibilities include but not limited to:

Contributing to the design and specification of products from research and development stage to engineering plan stage to product manufacturability
Ensuring that the product conforms to our high standard of performance, quality, and reliability
Building and characterizing early prototypes
Specifying and outfitting dedicated manufacturing space with all necessary workstations, fixturing, and instrumentation for successful creation

What You Need for this Position

Master's degree in physics, Optics, or other relevant scientific discipline; Ph.D. preferred
Unrestricted right to work in the United States
Significant, demonstrable experience and skill in hands-on work with lasers and optical techniques
Experience with optical parametric oscillators and/or integrated photonics, preferred
Skills in electronics and/or software for controls and analysis, preferred
