We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Manufacturing Operations Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations.
In this critical role, you will identify and manage constraints, implement effective performance measures, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Provide strategic leadership and oversight for manufacturing, maintenance, scheduling, and engineering functions, directly supervising department leaders and overseeing maintenance staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Drive performance and results by fostering strong cross-functional communication, setting clear expectations, and holding team members accountable for their contributions.
Recommend and execute personnel actions, such as hiring, evaluations, discipline, and promotions.
Data Analysis and Decision-Making: Collect, analyze, and leverage shop and financial data to uncover opportunities for operational enhancements and process optimization.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills, including expertise in Budget and P&L management, ROI, and capital management, to drive informed decisions that enhance operational performance.
Formulate and execute innovative strategies aimed at balancing inventory, boosting throughput, minimizing waste, and achieving both short-term and long-term financial targets
Capital Expenditure and Procurement:
Evaluate and propose capital expenditure recommendations to support operational growth and efficiency.
Negotiate purchases of equipment, materials, and services to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards.
Execute successful implementation of capital projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Operational Execution:
Develop a deep understanding of all processes and part families to build a strong foundation for effective leadership.
Lead the development and implementation of manufacturing best practices, standard operating procedures, and process improvements.
Proactively enforce compliance with safety regulations, investigate onsite accidents, identify root causes, and document resolutions. Ensure TE-CO's safety program meets OSHA and other government regulations.
Strategic Collaboration:
Collaborate with the leadership team to refine and execute strategic plans for growth and operational efficiency.
Partner with internal and external teams to enhance product quality, improve existing products, and support the integration of new products.
Drive escalation and resolution of critical operational and project issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Deep knowledge of manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and operations, with a focus on production management and process optimization.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental laws and regulations, engaging all employees to make quality and safety a priority.
Highly motivated problem solver, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement in complex processes, documentation, and project execution.
Drive business results by taking informed risks and demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
Skilled in identifying and resolving maintenance and quality issues.
Expertise in financial analysis and capital project prioritization.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans that improve performance and profitability.
Strong leadership and emotional intelligence skills, capable coach, and mentor.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state approximately 5%.
10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required.
