We are an employee owned company seeking a talented Process Engineer. We are within the exciting Aviation & Aerospace industry!

Base salary, $75K-$95K and DOE

Work onsite in Windsor, CT area.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer with expertise in the aviation and aerospace industry. In this role, you will interpret turbine engine shop manuals and assist with manufacturing processes and paperwork to expedite parts workflow throughout buildings.

You will also support the shop floor staff in troubleshooting and resolving issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities

Expertise in machining operations such as milling, turning, and grinding, along with special processes like plating, thermal spray, welding, and heat treating.
Proficiency in job shop paperwork, including travelers, detail sheets, and other engineering documents.
Experience in creating inspection method sheets (IMS) from technical data and engine manuals.
Proven ability to collaborate with manufacturing staff to identify process gaps and develop action plans to enhance manufacturing conditions and minimize downtime.
Working knowledge of CAD and 3D modeling software (Solidworks or similar) for tool design support.
AS/BS in Engineering is a plus but not required.
Previous experience in an Overhaul & Repair environment is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred but will consider AS Degree or years of expertise in the industry work as Process Engineer.
3++ years of experience in process engineering within the aviation or aerospace sector.
Knowledge of turbine engine components and manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and quality control methodologies.
Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Experience with regulatory compliance and airworthiness standards in the aviation industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
