Position Overview
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) will oversee all aspects of quality control for construction projects under the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). This role is crucial in ensuring that all work meets the required quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications, particularly in healthcare settings such as VA hospitals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control policies and procedures in compliance with USACE standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain quality control documentation and reports for project reviews.
• Train and mentor staff in quality control practices and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with EM-385 safety regulations and other applicable guidelines.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and construction teams.
• Review and approve material and equipment submittals for quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control management, preferably with USACE or similar organizations.
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and standards, particularly EM-385 and NAVFAC.
• Experience in healthcare construction projects, specifically with VA hospitals or Army medical facilities.
• Certification as a Quality Control Manager (QCM) or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address quality issues effectively.
