Job Title: Tax Manager
Location: Baton Rogue, LA
Salary: $90K - $130K (DOE)
Requirements: 5 years of experience working in a public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience / B.S. in Accounting / CPA Certification

What You Will Be Doing

- Planning and directing corporate, individual, and partnership tax engagements.
- Reviewing complex tax returns including business/partnerships & HNW individuals
- Identifying and providing tax issues and tax planning advice to a diverse client base.
- Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual income tax provisions; identify and document uncertain tax positions.
- Performing and reviewing technical tax research, analysis, and written memorandum.
- Assisting clients with management of federal and state tax audits and negotiate tax positions.
- Working directly with the firm's leadership to support the many operational elements of the firm's tax services, including thought leadership, quality control and training and development.
- Ensuring exceptional client service by delivering the highest quality results, providing forward thinking advice and suggestions on relevant matters in a manner that is timely and straight-forward.
- Supervising, developing, and training members of our tax practice.
- Leading a team of staff level positions and ensure proper execution of assignments.

What You Need for this Position

- 5 years of experience working in a public accounting or a combination of corporate and public accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. Master's degree is preferred.
- CPA certification
- Experienced at reviewing income tax returns and tax provisions.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Strong research and compliance skills.
